We give free estimates, are licensed, and guarantee our work. As part of the homebuying process, I needed to hire a home inspection service. I consulted Angies list for reviews, and verified with the IN State Licensing bureau that all 3 were licensed for home inspection. I e-mailed all 3, asking for an estimate of their fee for a full home inspection. Only one out of three responded at all, and Clearview Home Inspection Service was one of the firms that didn't even bother to respond with an auto-e-mail. So I have to rate their responsiveness, professionalism and punctuality as an "F"; as three days later, they still haven't responded.

Every inspection must be completed not only to your satisfaction, but to ours. The home inspector, Scott, was thorough and had the attention to detail that we expected. The only areas for improvement would be to offer pool inspections, for a more comprehensive inspection and to allow plenty of time to go over the report at the end. We got quite rushed at the end and weren't able to ask questions about the findings.
It would be broken down into safety / hazard, important but not critical, things to watch, and simply common sense maintenance. That made it easy to get the final report and know what to focus my and the sellers time on getting addressed. He made himself available on his cell and over the weekend to answer questions which was nice.
